About Recense
Recense is a spaced-repetition flashcard app built on the FSRS algorithm, with one-click Anki import and a free community Deck Hub, made for people learning a language.
Why Recense exists
Most people who want to remember vocabulary end up choosing between two poor options: a powerful but dated tool that takes a weekend to configure, or a colourful app that turns studying into a game and your progress into a streak you are afraid to break. Recense takes the proven part of the first (the FSRS scheduling algorithm) and pairs it with the calm, modern interface the second only pretends to offer.
What we believe
Studying is for adults, and adults do not need confetti. The review screen is the product; everything else should get out of the way. The schedule should be decided by evidence, not by guilt. And the decks you build should be yours: import them, export them, and study them on any device, online or off.
Who Recense is for
Recense is built for self-directed learners, whether you are working toward IELTS or TOEIC, picking up Japanese, Korean or Chinese, or keeping a language you already speak from fading. If you have decks in Anki, bring them across. If you are starting fresh, the community Deck Hub is a free place to begin.
